Berries

Australian berries

Provides a range of beneficial antioxidant compounds. Strawberries contain fisetin, which may have neuroprotective effects. Pterostilbene, from blueberries, is similar to resveratrol and may have anti-inflammatory effects.

Dark leafy greens

A rich source of the antioxidants lutein, vitamin C and alpha-lipoic acid. Alpha-lipoic acid has been shown to increase glutathione activity in adult dogs, which is an important antioxidant

Berries

Australian green lady finger banana starch

Green bananas are a rich source of resistant starch, a type of prebiotic that promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria

Close-Up Bread

Yeast fermentate (postbiotic)

Has been shown to improve the diversity of gut bacteria in dogs, promote the growth of beneficial species, and decrease ammonia and biogenic amine production.

Possible benefits include modulation of the immune system and protection from infections caused by enteropathogens.

How to use CompleteMe Canine:

For healthy adult dogs

  • Choose the proteins, vegetables, and other ingredients you would like to use with our simple, flexible guide

  • Make a quick and easy, delicious, high protein diet for your dog at home

  • Produces 1 kilogram of food, which can be portioned and frozen

Ingredients

500 grams of raw muscle meat (3-10% fat)

​480 grams of vegetables, fruit, and/or fibre-rich whole grains

(for any whole grains, please use the cooked weight)

​3 teaspoons of omega-6-rich oil
(choose from hempseed oil, walnut oil, rice bran oil, sesame oil, canola oil, or pumpkin seed oil)

​3 mL (or 3 x 1000mg capsules) of omega-3-rich oil 

(choose from fish oil, krill oil, or marine algae oil)

​15 grams of CompleteMe Canine

Optional: 

25 grams of raw offal

(choose from liver, kidney, spleen, tripe, gizzards, or lung)

1-2 tablespoons of any of the following: 

Bone broth, fresh herbs, miso paste (max 1 teaspoon), natural yoghurt, kefir, chia seeds or ground flaxseeds (max 1 teaspoon), or fermented vegetables (no chilli or garlic)

Storage and safety:

Do not add to any commercial dog food or use with any other vitamin/mineral supplements.

  • For raw meat, freeze for 10 days before use to destroy parasites (or 3 weeks for game meat or pork in areas with Trichinella)

  • Larger batches can be made and frozen for convenience

  • Thaw in the fridge or in a warm water bath

  • Remove uneaten food after 30 minutes

  • Keep refrigerated food for 3 days or frozen food for 3-6 months

With cooked meat:

  1. Gently pan-fry the diced meat (and offal, if using) with 50 mL water until cooked.

  2. Steam or microwave the chopped vegetables until soft.

  3. If using grains, cook as per the manufacturer's instructions.

  4. Combine the cooked meat, cooked vegetables and grains, diced fruit, and oils and mix well. 

  5. Allow to cool then add 3.75 level teaspoons (15 grams) of CompleteMe Canine and mix again.

  6. Portion and refrigerate, or freeze as desired.

With raw meat:

  1. Steam or microwave the chopped vegetables until soft.

  2. If using grains, cook as per the manufacturer's instructions.

  3. Combine the raw meat (and offal, if using), cooked vegetables and grains, diced fruit, and oils and mix well. 

  4. Allow to cool then add 3.75 level teaspoons (15 grams) of CompleteMe Canine and mix again.

  5. Portion and refrigerate or freeze as  desired
