Key benefits

Antioxidants from Australian berries

Berries provide a range of beneficial antioxidants. Strawberries contain fisetin, which may have neuroprotective effects. Pterostilbene, from blueberries, is similar to resveratrol and may have anti-inflammatory effects.

Prebiotic fibre from green bananas

Australian-grown green bananas are a rich source of resistant starch, a type of prebiotic fibre that promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

Added yeast fermentate for a healthy microbiome

Has been shown to improve the diversity of gut bacteria in dogs, promote the growth of beneficial species, and decrease ammonia and biogenic amine production.

Probiotic blend for immune support

Possible benefits include modulation of the immune system and protection from infections caused by enteropathogens.

Preparation instructions

Ingredients can be cooked separately, as per the instructions below, or together in a slow cooker.

  1. Gently pan-fry the diced meat (and offal, if using) with 50 mL water until cooked.
Omit this step if you would prefer to use raw meat.
  2. Steam or microwave the chopped vegetables until soft.
  3. If using grains, cook as per the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Combine the cooked meat (including liquid from pan), cooked vegetables and grains, diced fruit, and oils and mix well.
  5. Allow to cool then add 15 grams of CompleteMe Canine and mix again.

If using a slow cooker: add the meat, vegetables, and any grains to the pot, with enough water or broth to cover everything. Add more water if needed during cooking. When cooked, combine food (including any liquid from the pot) with 15 grams of CompleteMe Canine, and the oils, and mix well.

CompleteMe Canine FAQs

Can I use CompleteMe Canine with raw meat?

Yes, CompleteMe Canine can be used with raw or cooked meat, like chicken breast or thigh, kangaroo, turkey, or pork. We recommend using human-grade meat, and freezing any meat to be fed raw for a minimum of 10 days. For areas with Trichinella, please freeze pork for 3 weeks before use.

Can I add this to a commercial diet?

CompleteMe Canine should not be added to any commercial diet, or used with other vitamin and mineral supplements. This could cause harmful excesses of some nutrients.

What is the shelf-life for this product?

For CompleteMe Canine, the best-by date will be a maximum of 11-12 months. There are several, important reasons for this. As our products contain freeze-dried foods, we want to ensure these foods are fresh and that the fatty acids don't oxidise. Some polyunsaturated fatty acids are at high risk of oxidation, meaning ingredients like marine algae can become rancid.

We also understand that some vitamins degrade over time, during storage. This means we need to ensure that the product contains a safe and appropriate amount of these nutrients from the date of manufacture until the best-by date. These nutrients should not be too high initially, or too low following storage. 12 months is the maximum time we can therefore ensure optimal freshness, nutritiousness, and safety.
