Fresh look, improved formula

We have made the following improvements to CompleteMe Feline - Beef & kangaroo:

  • We have replaced the venison fillet with grass-fed beef fillet. Please see below for further information.
  • The probiotic blend has been replaced with lactic acid, which significantly inhibits dental plaque, calculus, and tooth staining in cats.
  • New Zealand green-lipped mussel has been replaced with Australian blue mussel, for its greater omega-3 content.
  • We have added grass-fed hydrolyzed beef collagen as a replacement for the hydrolysed kangaroo collagen, due to sourcing challenges.

All other ingredients and benefits remain the same, and the dose per kilogram of food has remained the same.

With respect to the removal of the wild venison fillet, this decision reflects emerging research suggesting that meat from certain game animals, including wild rabbit, venison, and goat (and excluding kangaroo), may in some instances contain lead ammunition fragments. Based on current information, occasional exposure is not generally considered likely to result in adverse effects; however, the implications of regular, long-term consumption as a consistent dietary component are not yet fully understood and may warrant caution. The available evidence in the pet nutrition context remains limited and continues to develop. We will monitor new research and update our formulations or guidance as appropriate.

Key benefits

Lactic acid for reduced plaque and calculus

Lactic acid supplementation has been shown in two feline research studies to reduce dental plaque, calculus, and tooth staining by 30%.

Hydrolyzed grass-fed beef collagen and omega-3 for joint support

Hydrolyzed grass-fed beef collagen and Australian blue mussel mussel provide omega-3 and collagen peptides for joint and skin support.

Limited proteins

CompleteMe Feline - Beef and kangaroo contains no poultry (chicken, duck or turkey), pork, lamb, fish, egg, or dairy proteins. Animal proteins from beef, kangaroo and mussel only.

Prebiotic fibre for a healthy microbiome

Organic barley grass and chitin from crickets provide species-appropriate fibre for gut health. Larch arabinogalactan supports the microbiome and enhances immune function.

CompleteMe Feline FAQs

Can I use CompleteMe Feline with raw meat?

Yes, CompleteMe Feline can be used with raw or cooked meat, like chicken breast or thigh, kangaroo, turkey, or pork. We recommend using human-grade meat, and freezing any meat to be fed raw for a minimum of 10 days. For areas with Trichinella, please freeze pork for 3 weeks before use. In areas with highly pathogenic avian influenza, we recommend not feeding raw poultry of any kind.

Can I add this to a commercial diet?

CompleteMe Feline should not be added to any commercial diet, or used with other vitamin and mineral supplements. This could cause harmful excesses of some nutrients.

Can I feed a homemade diet along with a commercial diet?

You can feed a balanced homemade diet along with a commercial diet, if you would like to.

For example, it is fine to feed 50% homemade diet, and 50% canned diet. Both diets should be properly formulated to meet nutritional requirements. Canned diets, freeze-dried or air-dried diets, kibble, or commercial raw or cooked diets are all fine to feed with a homemade diet.

Please be sure to still include the required amount of CompleteMe as per the feeding guide, to your homemade diet, even if you are only feeding homemade food as part of the diet.

Is this a topper? What do I do with it?

CompleteMe Feline is not a topper - it is a vitamin, mineral and amino acid supplement, with added functional food ingredients. It should be mixed into homemade food, as per our feeding guide. It turns meat only into a complete and balanced diet for adult cats.

What is the shelf-life for this product?

For our CompleteMe Feline supplements, the best-by date will be a maximum of 11-12 months. There are several, important reasons for this. As our products contain freeze-dried foods, we want to ensure these foods are fresh and that the fatty acids don't oxidise. Some polyunsaturated fatty acids are at high risk of oxidation, meaning ingredients like mussel or egg yolk can become rancid.

We also understand that some vitamins degrade over time, during storage. This means we need to ensure that the product contains a safe and appropriate amount of these nutrients from the date of manufacture until the best-by date. These nutrients should not be too high initially, or too low following storage. 12 months is the maximum time we can therefore ensure optimal freshness, nutritiousness, and safety.
